Renegade Ranch

Veteran owned and operated ranch services with a focus on Character in business and Ethical Husbandry, boutique beef production, ranch and reining horse sales. We are home of Authentic Horsemanship and aim to bring together people helping people, by means of the horse.

Philosophy

When prevailing culture is that of chaos and division, be a Renegade. When society turns its back on fundamental values and ethical morality, be a Renegade. When entitlement is lauded and character mocked, BE A RENEGADE!

Character matters! In the animals we produce, the business we conduct, and the lives we lead...character matters. We are quiet professionals and prefer to allow our lines of effort speak for themselves.

We focus largely on preserving specific performance and foundation Quarter Horse bloodlines to produce exceptionally safe, sane, sound, conformationally correct ranch and performance horse athletes. As Martin Black says, "Special Forces horses."

Equine Services

We breed and raise primarily FQHA and AQHA bloodlines, including Skipper W, Hancock, Blue Valentine, Gooseberry, Leo, Quincy Dan, Blackburn, Playgun, etc. We stand AQHA stallions Black Cole Wheat, Valentine Blu and Skippa Durango to a limited number of mares.

We also provide boarding and/or training options for several seats and disciplines including reined cow horse, ranch work, trail riding, sorting, penning, cutting, and team and ranch roping.

Bovine

We also breed and raise a closed boutique Wagyu and F1/F2 Wagyu beef herd, using some of the oldest Tajima Wagyu genetics available outside of Japan. Fun Fact: Tajima (但馬) is a bloodline of the Kuroge Washu breed. You can think of it as a subset of the family tree, genetically speaking. Like almost all Kuroge Washu, it too descends from the Tajiri master bull, and shares the genetic predisposition for marbling for which Japanese Wagyu is famous.
